Smart for Life Caramel Almond, Choco Crisp, Peanut Butter
rating: ⭐⭐
review: I’m rating all three of the flavors that come bundled in the variety pack. Overall, I’m not a fan of these products whatsoever. These protein bars feel so half-assed because there is minimal flavor or differentiation between them all. Credit where credit is due, I do like the protein and sugar ratio, but that is the only redeeming factor. I’ve never enjoyed consuming un-milled whey crisps, so there is some bias coming from my end. However, I think a lot of people would agree that there is barely any difference between the three flavors. They all feel like they should be cheaper than what they are sold as.
RXBar Chocolate Sea Salt
rating: ⭐⭐⭐
review: flavor and texture wise: an absolute banger of a bar. I feel like with this brand, the texture is either something you love or hate. I particularly love it, but I can’t score it higher than I did for two reasons. the price of the bars is way too high unfortunately, and it doesn’t pack the best protein per bar/calories.
quest Chocolate Brownie
rating: ⭐⭐⭐
review: I feel like you pretty much know what you’re getting yourself into with this one. yes it is decent, but only chocolate isn’t my favorite choice of flavor to mix with protein. It does what it needs to do and that’s it.
Barebell Caramel Cashew
rating: ⭐⭐⭐⭐
review: one of the best bars that I’ve had in a while. for the amount of protein that is inside of these bars, it does not give off the impression that it is a protein bar. the packaging does, but the texture and taste of it is definitely top tier. my only gripe with it is its expensive price. If it were more attainable, I would have given it a 5 star rating.
Pure Protein Lemon Cake
rating: ⭐⭐⭐⭐
review: lemon is usually something that I’m cautious with because most of the time I end up disappointed. honestly, I don’t think that lemon even qualifies as a real flavor. can you imagine a brand trying to sell a ‘sour’ as a protein bar flavor? lemon cake on the other hand, that goes hard indeed. with the fair pricing and good flavor this definitely gets the rating it deserves.
think! Brownie Crunch
rating: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
review: exceeded my expectations in every way possible. very closely feels and tastes like a brownie while also being a great source of protein as we come to expect with the think! brand. the only unfortunate part about the brand is its higher asking price per box.
RXBar Coconut Chocolate
rating: ⭐⭐⭐⭐
review: I think the coconut works well, and we don’t see enough of it being used in protein bars. I feel like it only works so well here because this is barely a protein bar anyways.
Quest Chocolate Cookie Dough
rating: ⭐⭐
review: this flavor is so underwhelming to me. I also don’t get why this exists. If you want a cookie flavored protein bar, then just buy a protein cookie.
RXBar Peanut butter chocolate
rating: ⭐⭐⭐⭐
review: yeah, this rating has a good bit of bias making its way into the review process. this bar shares 99 percent of the same characteristics as the RXBar above it. the difference that makes this bar get 1-star higher is, drum-roll please, the peanut butter. It makes it more worth it because I said so. I am a slut for peanut butter.
RXBar Blueberry
rating: ⭐⭐
review: blueberries are perfectly fine to be ate on their own, they don’t need to be included in things like this. I guess if you enjoy treats of the likes of blueberry muffins or scones, you will absolutely pop off over this. me, I’ll continue consuming my coconut chocolate RXBars.
